For your safety, please review these treatment area guidelines before your appointment.
- Discontinue use of any systemic steroids
- Avoid sun exposure, use SPF 30+ consistently, and remove all sunless tanner
- Stop using topical retinoids, corticosteroids, or chemical exfoliants with AHAs or BHAs (i.e., glycolic or salicylic acid)
- Shave any coarse hair in the treatment area
- If possible, do your best to arrive early with clean skin
- Complete forms and get cleared for treatment as early as possible
- Only use tepid water, gentle cleansers, and unscented moisturizers on treated skin
- Do not apply makeup to the treatment area
- Do not pick at the skin
- Avoid sweating, straining, heavy lifting, or intensive exercise
- Avoid hot tubs, saunas, steam showers, or excessively hot water
- Do not use scented skincare products if skin is sensitive
- Do not scrub, exfoliate, or pick at skin
- Continue to avoid topical retinoids and skincare with AHAs/BHAs
- Avoid tanning and unprotected sun exposure throughout the entire duration of treatments. Use SPF 30+ consistently.
