Frequently Asked Questions
Both Botox and Xeomin are injectables made of botulinum toxin type A. They block nerve signals to relax targeted muscles, softening wrinkles and correcting facial imbalances. Botox was the first neurotoxin released to market, and it contains accessory proteins. Xeomin is newer. It undergoes an additional filtration step to remove accessory proteins.
